How about a food stamp ban on soda and candy?
Apparently, there is a recent push to ban soda and candy to SNAP recipients. The government lacks the authority to enforce such a ban, but the push toward healthy options marches on. '
On one hand, the U.S. government should have the authority to dictate what kind of foods it helps to purchase. On the other hand, we risk the slippery slope issue when we start allowing big government to dictate such a personal choice...
